We care for our Planet, so we try to search for eco-friendly and sustainable solutions. The world is wasting about a billion tons of banana stemps each year, but we want to upcycle some of them into this amazing yarn, favorable to our environment and with exceptional qualities!
The banana fiber is very strong and supportive, yet soft at the same time. Mixed with cotton, it gives you great grip and support, but is also lightweight and airy. It is floppy, mouldable and cushy. It feels almost like wool. It has an amazing, wild and uneven, sometimes striped structure, with lots of nubs, irregularities and curls. This creates a raw and fabulous look, very different from all other fibers.
It very quickly became one of your all time favourites. A perfect choice for both small and bigger babies.
No threads are endless, so there might be visible thread shifts, and sometimes the banana structure changes, and it will gain a striped structure. This makes every sling special- different and even more unique.
The Weavers have washed it for you, so it is ready to use.

To limit the use of plastic and unnecessary packing, your ring sling/wrap will come in an handwoven organic drawstring bag. When you wear your baby on the front, you can carry diapers and food in the drawstring on the back.
When your carrying days are over, we recommend that you pass on the ring sling/wrap to other parents or make it into your favorite scarf, embracing all the memories of you carrying your baby.
